          Hi parents,

Can anyone advise me do sec 1 or 2 need to bring laptop for projects work or school works?

For my dd case (Sec 1 last year)
School work - it is not necessary

Project work - So far, she has brought her laptop out once only for discussion. The group normally does their project in one of the girls house. If no time to meet, they will use google docs - an online word processor that lets you create and format text documents and collaborate with other people in real time.

          Hope this help. šŸ˜„

          Thank you beakymummy

              Hi parents,

When (and how) will the Sec 1 girls know their CCA allocation?

I understand all the sports CCA are competitive. My child went for audition for table tennis and was asked by the coach if she could play. Obviously she was immediately turned down. I still feel that sngs she have both competitive and recreational CCA so that more girls can enjoy sports.

I feel so too, that CCA should be about letting students pursue an interest that is out of school curriculum. Unfortunately, that's the way CCAs are like in most (if not all) schools. In my DD1's sec school, even the uniformed groups have auditions. I guess given limited resources, the \"competitive\" aspect will always outweigh the \"recreational\" aspect 🤷

Release of CCA Option results is 21/Jan onwards
Normally their teacher (think is their form teacher or Co-form - cant remember) will inform them.
