My dd has no problem connecting to the school wifi. She whatapped me yesterday too. Her phone does not have data plan, I turned off mobile data. Hers is a prepaid card (I top up $10 about every month), so I can monitor her use regularly. Actually she gets the update of the balance too, so she knows. -

for A level Y5 students :-
do they group students by subject combination, thus allowing JAE students + IP students to mix together in the same class according to the A level H2 subjects they are taking, or do they separate out the students such that JAE Y5 students go one class, IP Y5 students go another class, no mixing at all ?
any Y5 or Y6 pupil to confirm this ? Thanks
My elder boy is in SH2.
However I am unsure of exactly of the situation either.
What I know is there is a Form class which he is in since JH 3. No JAE student in this Form class.
There are 2 or 3 JAE students in the xxx subject class tge with the IP students. This could be due to the fact that the sch only has one xxx class for the whole cohort.
All other subjects tge with the classmates in the Form class.
No idea about other subject combi classes.
No mixing of the Main class they are in. But the class itself is made up of students in various subject combinations. So they would have friends from JAE in other subject lessons , perhaps? Or maybe not. Not sure. -
Do remember to login to the school portal to update medical records and read the announcements.

I saw an advert in the newspaper selling ZTE phone, think the price is S$499
Which model is your dd using? Good? -
Jennifer:
ZTE Avail 2 (AT&T GoPhone). Pretty good so far. Usually one battery charge can last for about 1-2 days with moderate use. Only thing is the storage is 2GB, so if your dc downloads lots of stuff, then the memory is not enough, apps become very slow. But it is a good starter smartphone. Especially if you don't want your child to download too much stuff :evil:mommyNg:

I bought it for about US$30 1-2 years ago, and subsequently got it unlocked for use in Singapore. S$499 sounds expensive. Which model is that? -
Wow, I am pretty impressed with what I found on the LMS! Didn't realized there were so many enrichment programs open to all JH1 ... like Math enrichment lectures organized by NUS math and science departments, Math masterclasses by SMS, mathemusical conversations, environmental conservation events, technology-related talks in Science Centre (e.g. UAV), the Innovation Programme (which sounds really awesome, and leading to the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Award), and even asking the students to try out the Singapore budget quizzes.
And this is on top of the many awesome academic-resources available to the JH1 on the LMS!
Blown away.... maybe these are very common activities among the secondary schools nowadays (or at least the IP schools) and I am suaku.
But still... whoa...! -
The students should have collected their 2015 Student Handbook.
Parents might want to go through page 51 to 60 \"Academic related matters\".
This year handbook is so much more interesting than last year.
:thankyou: NJC -
