      HappyAvon,

My DS was also a premie... must have been tough and heart wrenching the initial months...
Hi auntieM, how old is your DS now....my dear DD was born at 32 weeks and was only 1.43 kg...I believe u understand that its really not easy to look after a premie....so many issues to tackle and was really mentally stressed at that time....My DD was born in SGH and they had a light weight club for these children....Every year, the hospital will have a LWC party where they will invite the children there...We brought her there almost every year and we tell her about premature babies....She has 2 small little baby toys and she will always tell me these 2 babies are twin and they are premature....

        HappyAvon,

My DS is 7 yr old and weigh about 1.2 kg at birth.
We 'did it' at Mt Elizabeth and he was in NICU for almost 4weeks..
They organised Premies gathering once on the second year..
So confinement was in and out of hospital, and town for me πŸ˜‰

welcome to the SAHM family πŸ˜„

          Hi i m a SAHM who r landed for coming 4th years...hahahahaha...

Basically decided to give up job r mostly like the lovely mother here, KIDS always come 1st... although $$$ yes a factor to consider n re-consider on spending, but no choice when the thought come to children. Well thats really lot of differents after no income, then DH needs to work hard for $$$ n spend less..

Of cos think that without maid to help doing housework, n these really is a no end projects  but no choice... then problem come in when start really watching kids study n their homework... phew... no jokes!!! really \"pei fu\" those great SAHM start handle their babes from newborn till all d way.... :celebrate: to all d mother ^_^

But after this few years feel no regrets to stay at home coaching them n turn them to d right paths, as d real impact for me to stay at home due to my son behaviour get worst with slight attitude problem....n now this year feel \"gan cheong\" with his PSLE exam coming, yet his learning attitude also show slaggy~~ feel headache .....hope able to share some info n get to know how to handle kids better.... 😎

So… anyone else care to share their daily runs with the house & kiddies?

And also hope to hear more on what makes YOU happy?

YOU as in yourself as a person and not the SAHM-you okie?

What do you ladies like to do when you’re not busy with endless household
projects, children and hubbies? Or do you have any ME time at all?

                    Hi Buds,

i'm a 'closet' fan of yours over at the Montessori thread! πŸ˜„ even though i ended up sending my DS to a non-monte school, (the one that i really liked moved away to Sembawang, which is totally out of the way for us) i really learned a lot from reading your posts.

DS is sick now so we spent Mon-Fri staying at home. I will do some activities with him or read books in between preparing 3 meals, taking care of the laundry, making sure that the house is not too dirty/untidy etc. when he goes for his 3 hour nursery, i usually spent the time running errands, buying groceries and getting lunch for myself. Time flies!

                    What makes me happy?
not too proud to admit this but i'm an internet addict. I love to gather information ranging from motherhood to news to any topics that catch my interest recently. i'm also currently 'on' to the FB games like restaurant city. πŸ˜„ but have to try to limit my online time to DS's sleeping hours, else he may end up feeling neglected even thou mom is at home all day with him!

i also love to read. one activity that i used to reward myself after my exams while i was still a student donkey years back was to coop up in the sofa with a good novel and not get up till i finished the book from cover to cover.
not very possible now that i have a preschooler who always wants my attention, but those are the good old days. πŸ˜„

                      Dear Jedamum

After working in an MNC and holding a managerial post for years, I have decided to quit the workforce....and spending more time with my only princess...DH is fully supportive and in fact is the one who asked me to leave...Like u said, its very sad to see ppl in the office fighting for authority and playing politics everyday..when u think about it, life should not be just like this...i feel its very meaningless and tiring to be facing pple with a \"mask\"....I am only able to declare a SAHM in 2 months time...I really look forward to it cos i know it will be a completely different journey in life....
                      Happy Avon,

                      Know what you mean.
I didn't learn any \"Wu3 Gong1\" before entering the working world so i'm always the first one to be 'killed off' before the formidable ones square off with each other. πŸ˜„

                        Hello Tanglin

Hahaha....Nowsaday even Wu Gong itself is not sufficient...You need Shen2 Gong and whatever Gong available to survive....For me, I am still able to survive but I am sick and tired of such working life..... :nunchuk:
