      [quote=\"PurplePanda\"]from what i understand 99.9% sure (science):

            anyone knows NY cut off? seems 7 can't get into science

            Could be partial 7. Some 7 get in, some can't get in.

            dd's friend with 7 got in.

            correction: dd clarified that her friend actually got 7-2. seems like it's 6 this year then as her other friends with 7 nett didn't get in either.

              My younger brother got into HCI. 3 points after deduction. 7 points raw.

                Hi,

                Are textbooks necessary for JCs?
                Do your children bring laptops to JC often?
                I hvnt gotten a laptop for my son yet. He is still using an old clunky one which he rarely brings to sec sch. Am thinkg if I shld invest in a lighter one for him.

                  JAE students have started reporting to JC already? Saw a lot of students in different uniforms in JC today. Fun and exciting times for them.

                        Depending on what subjects he takes. Some subjects require textbooks, but most don't. Most JCs give comprehensive notes that are even better than textbooks as they are customised for the Singapore/Cambridge GCE A levels.

                        Students generally need laptops for Project Work. They may need to bring to school for group work.
