My daughter got 10 raw points, appeal to ACJC via CCA (BAND), already did interview on Thursday afternoon, but still waiting for the result, by the mean time she applied to AJC and got confirmation for the vacancy, but have to confirm by next Monday before noon time, I’m wondering if can not get any information from ACJC have to accept the AJC, if later ACJC gets vacancy for her, is it still possible to take ACJC? Can somebody answer the question urgent for me?

Does your dd have friends who are currently in the Band in ACJC? They might know how many they're taking in via appeal. You can gauge her chances better. I know last year for one of the CCAs they took in only one via appeal. But that person's results was double digit.

Are textbooks necessary for JCs?
Do your children bring laptops to JC often?
I hvnt gotten a laptop for my son yet. He is still using an old clunky one which he rarely brings to sec sch. Am thinkg if I shld invest in a lighter one for him.

Depending on what subjects he takes. Some subjects require textbooks, but most don't. Most JCs give comprehensive notes that are even better than textbooks as they are customised for the Singapore/Cambridge GCE A levels.

Students generally need laptops for Project Work. They may need to bring to school for group work.

Laptops are impt for pw cos the pw work goes past waking hours into unearthly hours and they communicate via programs like Google hangout, goggle docs. Etc. So good to invest in a decent one that can perhaps last all the way to uni.

My question was if accepted the offer by AJC, but ACJC offer come in later, is it still possible to choose ACJC or have to stay in AJC?

I believe you can still take ACJC’s offer even after accepting AJC. As long as you get an acceptance form from ACJC, AJC will help facilitate the transfer. Schools understand that appeals are still being considered.
