PSLE if score 150, where can the kid go?
-
My nephew went to HC Intl sch for 1 yr (sec 1 in 2009). Somehow his mum thinks it is not good for his character development (they are christians, he scored around 180). At end of sec 1, she wanted to transfer him out to CTSS. The principal refused to meet her. In the end, based on connection, managed to see the principal but because the principal is posted to another SS, can’t offer him in CTSS, he ended up in PHS (joins 5 yr normal acad) in YCK.

I'm quite sure all the teachers in the Sanyu adventist school are all Adventists...

Actually in private schools, some students can be rowdy too. I was from a private christian school in pri/sec. It depends on how your child would handle being in that type of study environment. Some of the teachers can b v good. I had v good trs. Me & several of my classmates went to rather good JCs after our O-levels, like NYJC, AJC, HCJC(best during that time), RJC, VJC.
ighbour Secondary Teachers that Normal Stream Teenagers are Rowdy /Terror.... Police always come to their school to gather information....
Anybody know whether Assumption Pathlight and Northlight are the students well behave?
Private school I calculated the fees will be about SGD100k  for 4 years of Secondary....
And 70% of them are from Overseas lie Malaysia/Vietnam/Thailand....
Also wonders are these International Students well behave...

Don't know based on what, but one of my ds1's schoolmates from p6(chs) last year got below 200 definitely and is in HC intl. This boy's parent's name is on the donor board in our school. Not sure if it is in HC too.
170+ really can get in? Based on results or on admission test or \"connections\"?

Thank you for your information...will check with HCI next year....
Don't call HCI, call HCIS. HCI won't have a clue and they will redirect you to quite a number of different places.ycpang:
Yes, SJI(International) stipulates minimum PSLE score of 220.
but my DS's friend score was 170+ and he is in Hwa Chong International sec 1 now. You should just call the schools to find out. -
My daughter said that when the principal came to her school last year, she’s now sec 1, the principal said that they do not look at the t-score as long as they pass the entry exam, they will be taken in…
My daughter has friends in HCIS too. They told my daughter that they were allowed to use handphones in class and quite a lot of them picked up smoking…
HCIS is IB(six years), similiar to IP but IB is not as recgonised as IP in Singapore. IB is instead more recgonised overseas. -
DD no need to go NS. But Singaporean DS need to go NS, most of my friend pick up smoking during NS.
To smoke or not to smoke, it really depends on the person themselves.
I from HC too, but my school does not exists in name anymore, sigh! -
