to rent and place and REALLY live there is fine

In the case where the parent told me that they got their son in XXX. It all happened when she related to me that her son need to travel for some distance to school. I was like oh how did you get him in the school? Was your hubby a old boy? She said they rented a place nearby and manage to use that. I am sure they don't stay there otherwise why the travelling time issue.

He is only in P2 this year.
ya you are right some are not caught

if i were the parent who got balloted out because someone else got in using an rental address but not staying there....as u said, the travelling time is proof that the rental is a sham....then i would naturally be very p1ssed...and if i cannot get over the unsuccessful balloting, i will complain to the school and MOE.....that is how all trouble started...

some schools are known to require the school bus drivers to provide the students’ pickup & dropoff addresses.

I guess many parents are busy cracking head on the address as I can see many flyers and phone calls coming in asking me to sell my place .....lolz....it happens every year around this time ...

We went to see an apartment near my mum's place within 1km of TNS. Being KPO as we wanted to see the going PSF rate at that area since we bought the place in 2006-2007 period. I was asking the agent on the rental yield and he was telling me that people usually buy it because it is within 1km of TNS. Well... good for the home owners rite and that was one of the key consideration I had when we bought the place.

But honestly, liddat also there's contention. My kids are taken care of by my parents from early morning till evening, in this case, confirm the address will be different (if we opt for school bus route).

MMM, it'll be very strange if the clans' kids all share the same address. quite funny, so many families under 1 roof? But it's good that they understand your predicament.

this kind of market value is very universal = good location with good school : every major cities in the world has the same phenomena

the price is indeed different for properties within 1km and those above 1km ... even when the 2 projects are just across the street from each other.

Yes... that is possible and really interesting.

                      Tankee,

In the case of TNS, I observed that there are only potentially 60% of within 1km that are vying for the school. As the other 40% is ECP and the beach!

but the number of projects within 1km to TNS are springing up like mushrooms in the past 1-2 years, including a number of high-rise. And turnover at nearby HDB are quite high too.

That’s why TNS phase 2C ballot has been within 1km. Last year, phase 2B nearly need to ballot within 1km too.
