SPIES:
Anyone with kids who went for Taiwan Cultural Exchange Programme before?
Are you allowing your son to go? My son is so happy that he received the letter. We did sign but wonder if that is the right decision. -
Just wonder anyone has a issue with the school CCA selection? My son last year and this year choice of CCA is rejected they state due to overwhelming response, is either he is very unlucky or somehow the choice he wants just cant get in

Thanks PapayaDad, after long appeal finally he gets into basketball with ONE slot. feel so sad that he is like a unwanted child. Just wonder is it just him or many kids also having his overwhelming respond

DS in P4 now.
P1 didnt get CCA because MC on selection day.
P2 went for selection, didn’t get.
P3 got into bowling.
P4 wanted to try other CCA, went for selection, didn’t get. Initially we were dissapointed too and were considering to appeal, but didnt proceed. Turns out there are lots of other activities. Currently P4 are doing chinese chess for (march only). And then for selected kids, there are programs like "Active Kids" ; "Maths Olympiad" ; Science Olympiad, spelling bee…and with Fencing (priority for those without CCA) - i think quite good. Hope DS gets into fencing.

Thanks papayaDad, that's very comforting for me. I see his desire and wanting to be in Chess club. ya I guess gradually they will be happy with other forms of activities. -
Hi parents, would like to find out if any of u faced a sharp increase for the school bus fare this year? We paid $165 for 2way last year but changed to 1way this year and was shocked that it is $110 even though its just 1 way.

Last year for my kid, one-way was $100, this year it is $120 => 20% increase! -

2 way $165 doesnt mean 1 way $82.50.
DS 1 way $110, 2 way $130.
1 way more expansive, there are basic cost to cover. 2 way is cheaper just add a bit for the return trip.
However if pick up and return is different address and require different bus, then each way may cost $110.
