What does ‘restricted’ mean with the NGOs? once a month is inhumane? so…they are supposed to be given a phone to yak yak and fb a few hours every day?
All these new generation ‘maids’ have never done housework at home? On Bio data, they have house maid work experience in the city before they go overseas. When you are paid to do housework, that’s what you do!
If they need to talk so much, they should find a customer service job or teacher job etc. Or just stay home!?!??!
When they leave their home/kampong and work as maid in the city…do they call home everyday? Indo maids expect to have other maids in the same household to yak yak and yak all night in Singapore? -

But as for your comment on restricting calls home to once a month, actually I do think that that IS inhumane. As long as she does not expect us to pay for her personal calls, to me, she can even call every day if she so wishes (though that's overdoing it). -

??? Why the one leaving for Abu Dhabi (my FDW's relative) managed to fly off last week from Surabaya? But this one not allowed to fly off to Singapore?? :? -

yeah, I agree nothing to do wth loans. Im wondering too. What about fresh maids that are already on the way in ? My guess is they should be ok for now since application approved before new law kick in. -

2 off days included in her salary so 500 divide by 28 working days =17.8571429 times by 11 days= $196.428571 which is $ 196. 42cents.
So her 11 days worked is $196 and I paid her $200.
So glad my crazy maid has gone for good, now she is leeching off another employer for free holiday and wifi!
