I know some who finished 40 hours 3 years before the kid is due (super cheong for 1 year only). :udawoman:
can i say a school requiring 60 or more PV will always be a good school? :? as PV hours serves a good demand indicator.... -

This question is very subjective. Maybe you can post the school name here and I'm sure you will get some feedback. -

it all depends on location
take for example, South View in Choa Chu Kang, the demand is white hot, versus TNS in Marine Parade, may be red hot only..... -

is it becoz it is more densely populated in CCK and there are more good schools to choose in the East?it all depends on location

if I am not wrong, South View produced a PSLE top student in recent years, whereas TNS only has students doing well (but not top). -

I did contribute over 60hrs PV to the school my ds is in. at that time, only a few school required 60 hrs when 40hrs was a norm....now i am becoming more and more regretful over the choice i made. however, the school is still very hot... think perhaps it is the location issue....
really suggest parents to compare more schools and make thoughtful decisions, thus make the 60/80 hrs more worth......not like me leh... :stupid: -

Any reasons why you were regretful of your PV contribution? :? -
Hi,
Can I know if there r any parents doing PV at red swastika pri sch? How early do I have to call up the school to register as a PV? -
jerejoy:
You should call the school when your child is N2 and start PV during K1. K2 Jun/Jul is the registration.Hi,
