For Languages, memorise a few good phrases, idioms, etc. For Science, remember your facts. For math re-do corrections and watch out for carelessness and calculation errors. It is important for them to have adequate down time to rest and not constantly think about PSLE so that they can process what they have learned.

Teachers reminded again and again about kids' frame of mind during exam. I hear them and I totally agree, especially with DD. She can have all the knowledge and ability but if something upsets her, can say bye bye to everything.

it's easier to get an A for Chinese compared to English.
memorize a good 开头,成语,好词好句 and 结尾 for composition.

a good start will help the child stay positive.

My child can hardly memorize all the above , sigh .The more I give the more he forget :slapshead: so chi compo cannot score for my situation.

Its doesn't apply to my DS.

He did better in English compared to Chinese in PSLE.

The same can be said for English compo. Memorise a few good descriptive phrases for various scenarios, people, emotions.

DD's Chinese teacher told me her compo has a decent opening and an ok ending. Problem is not much of a body.

My son can memorize stuff well...while walking to school for his PSLE Chinese compo, he was reciting the 开头 and other stuff. So he did well for Chinese...but the same was not applied to other subjects 😢

For our dear kids going to face PSLE, we have to be calm so that they don't get stressed...or else the whole year of preparation will go down the drain.

Unfortunately, DS has lousy memory. Plus hates to do extra work... 😢

                BB mom,

It's the same for daughter....now I can only hope she can write compo which doesn't jump from scene to scene without connectors :frustrated:

My son loves to memorize. He is the opposite of daughter.

What he regurgitates will be modified along the way.
It’s the end of Term 1…next month will be more stressful with SA1…but don’t take it too seriously unless you are using DSA.
