Carebear, yes, they act blur. I had an ex M'sia, worked on landed property etc as well...still cut corners and love to snoop around.

So now, I've learnt my lesson. When there are tables/things I don't want her to touch, I tell her not to do so. Else, there's bound to be lots of unhappiness - yours, coz :frustrated: when things get re-arranged; hers, coz :whut: I do things for you still not happy wha?!?

Moonee, that's the same thing as my contract. Hence, I raise that question of whether I m still liable after 21 days of paying the levy when the maid is tranferred out.


Carebear, maids with no experience is like that. They all display typical maid characteristics. My current Indo maid is a gem. She is only with me for 2 weeks but all my relatives already commented that my gal has put on weight. This maid is a ex-singapore. She has worked in Singapore for 4 years for 2 employers. I was hesitate to get her because she is very \"old bird\", thought would be hard to control but what the heck, I just went with it. Maybe next time you may want to consider getting ex-Singapore maid. I don't have to train and say much to her. She can understand and speak chinese and a little hokkien. I hope she will remain like this for 2 years. keeping my fingers crosse!


At least now my blood pressure is normal. My previous Myanmar maid drove my blood pressure up the roof!

Carebear, I think the best thing is that she can be super on to touch this and that or do ‘thing re-design’, yet my belief is that if you check some strange place (eg under sofa/corner of room), there’s probably a layer of dust…

The 2 maids I engaged so far have one thing in common. Everytime we look for something (eg nail clipper), and ask if she see it (we don’t say that she take it), the reply is usually "No m’am; I never see".

Yah, sometimes concentrate so much till put too much washing liquid (then the floor squeaks) or too little (then the floor is \"sticky\")

Hi peapot, I dnt have any evidence and shes already been transfered to an Indian employer, still at my place till next week. If agent agree to send her back, I will drop the case but Im left with no choice as her loan is near 3k after 3 transfers and maid desperately wnts to stay on in spore.

…can you imagine i have been so dissapointed and disgusted the past few weeks with the maid, putting up with her sweet talk, strikes etc just to get what she wants… a Transfer! I was left with no choice but to submit application for 2nd maid and all this is to help my maid to get 4th transfer after all the stress shes caused for the last employer and me. Not fair !! totally not fair at all!!! :x :x Now Im taking a 2 times transfered filipina and am expecting another set of nonsense.
Yup, we must all write in to MOM to limit all these "holidayMakers"

Yes its good idea to atleast check with Police and it would be really bad for us that u have to transfer no choice :x see if be any means u dont sign the transfer papers and just send her bac?

Too late, think i signed one stack of papers and transfer form was inside that stack too. I know this agent and had some dispute some years back. Just dnt want to go against him this time.... I went back to him cos his service was good n he used to be quite qood at making maids stayon the job but after 14 years I think he has changed to be rather mild with the maids. transfering 4 times was unheard of in the past even 3 but now times have changed. I know he will ask me to pay the loan if I insist on sending her back after all the maid can work but like she told me she hopes to find a suitable home. In other words.... come to spore to choose employer. So poor me, I had to pay 200 service charge plus 300 insurance and another similar charge for the replacement . Not forgetting my quota.

Anyone know how much would be the estimated cost to install CCTV where can view with a computer with internet access? Purpose is to see what the maid is doing.
