Workbook costs from $10.70 to $21.40, depending on which level.
Hope this helps! -

Can someone please referral too for Marine Parade branch? Is there any recommendation for teachers there?
Thank you very much. -
Hi parents
My boy is with Lcentral since Foundation. I find the Foundation, Launchpad and Liftoff quite good as kids are exposed to lots of words.
However, since 2 months in Success program, I find the class only so-so.
I donβt think my boy show any improvement. Is it too short a time to tell? I am thinking of switching school.
Any view? -

I understand that LCentral's success programmes are usually 1 level higher than MOE standard. If your child's English is pretty good, probably is good to continue to maintain his standard of English. If he is weak, 2 months may not be long enough to show improvements. More importantly, the child might have a connection with the teacher and good to continue the momentum. For me, I will continue at least for 2 or 3 terms to see results.Hi parents

My boy is with them for liftoff and now in preparation for success, i also think the class a bit \"dry\" compared to liftoff, i have yet to look at their materials for P1, but i am now sourcing for alternative. -

Any idea about Preparation for success? my boy is in K2, i wonder if it is due to his age that is why they put him under preparation for success, he completed his liftoff last year.
They are doing forming sentence & some composition.
I feel the class a bit dry, not too sure if it is due to the teacher or the materials, i look at the workbook, i also dunno how to coach him, except for the homework + spelling.. -

Yes totally agreed. In liftoff, there are lots of reading together as there are many new words to go through. However in success program, they are doing comprehension, composition, spelling, cloze, grammar all in the workbook.

I especially don't like the way they do grammar. There is no exercise on the different tenses, capital letters, punctuation, nouns, verbs. But they are asked to do workbook that combined all these. I mean how do you expect a newly P1 to know all these.
I have spoken to his teacher about why is it not taught by topic. She told me that all along they teach everything together and it seems there is no problem as at the end of the day the children will learn everything. What do you guys think?
However I do like that they have started on composition (although I don't think Ds grasp the concept of planning a composition) where they teach the intro, body and conclusion.
