You need to check with the school bus driver. They normally batch up a few girls, so your dd might have to wait a while if there are others whose CCA ends later. I pay $8 per trip, not sure if that is standard fare. -
Tks for the reply. will check with bus operator. For now, DH has to con’t to pick DD up!

could anyone pls share with me the contacts of the school bus operator as well as the fees? my daughter will be starting p1 at scgs next year and am trying to figure out the logistics of it all
thanks so much! -
Hope you all can help me decide...
I am an old girl of SCGS and I also have a boy from Henry Park. DD is due for P1 registration this year, I am now going thru the thinking process...al your comments and advice are welcomed...
1) Does SCGS has that \"elite\" feel? The \"I am better than you\" attitude?
I have only heard about these but would like to hear the truth
2) Is the school a \"pressure cooker\"? Do the P1s have mid-year exams. HPPS builds the pressure gradually.
3) How many of your girls feel very stressed in the school, not just academically but also socially...
The truth, nothing but the truth.
Thank you  -

.For P1 to 5, the last day of school this year is Nov/13, which is 1 week earlier than the other primary schools. For P6, it is Nov/6. I am not aware of any rush in school syllabus, at least my daughter has not complained. So far, there is also no extra lessons scheduled during school holidays or after school.
I saw the school's website today. Nov school holidays for Pri students possibly starts on 1 nov!
Can it be so much earlier?? -

Hi, i am an old Sc girl too. My girl is in P4 now. The elitism feeling is slight and not as bad as other schools. There is no mid year exam for P1. The girls enjoy school very much and in fact Sc is known to be less stressful as compared to other schools. Teachers are open to feedback so I do feedback if there are too much homework, etc. It is really up to you as HP is also a good school.Hope you all can help me decide...

SCGS is \"never\" known as pressure cooker, because they have their own secondary school to progress to, if they don't do too badly at PSLE - that is the main explanation for the less stressful primary school life.

There will always be some kids who are super competitive in any school anyway
SCGS is more well known to prepare the girls to be future 太太 than to be a corporate titan ...... lol -
could anyone please share with me where/which tailor to go to for the school uniforms? i’m thinking of purchasing them before the orientation day to avoid the mad crowd… thanks!
