I initially thought it was for good use of time...then some of the changeovers (e.g., EL then MT, MT then EL then MT again) didn't make sense :?
ming, for P1, sometimes there's fun gym during PE. Have you compared the changeovers? -

Hmm...haven't really done a major comparison....the only noiceable difference is that of PE will be on 3 consecutive days from Mon to Wed....Other than that...not realy much difference except for the re-scheduling of lessons....I initially thought it was for good use of time...then some of the changeovers (e.g., EL then MT, MT then EL then MT again) didn't make sense :?

Feel like asking the form teacher on the rationale for thse changes....but then don't know if the FT will feel me very kpo.....why others don's ask & only me ask.... -

I am seriously thinking of that option! I'm also living in the Shelford Area. My girl does not like the idea of going to NYPS because she wants to graduate from the same school as her older sis.
You still have one more option is to transfer her to NYPS if you want to aviod the hassle when the school is temporary relocated. Like what a friend of mine did to the dd at P3 (transfer to NYPS at P4) but the reason is to get ds in NYPS. -

Tough decisions eh, FireflyMom! But really, if the travel time is going to be long, it'd eat into their time, yah? :stupid: :stupid:

I know.. Not just the time. Imagine the traffic in the morning :stupid: If the holding site is really at the old SAJC location, imagine we have to fight with the traffic everyday - first farrer road then AYE :frustrated: :frustrated:

Dear Parents
My dd just joined RGPS P4 this year. I hv been ferrying her to sch every morning. Now that she’s more or less settled in, I thot of getting her to take the sch bus. Because we live in Hougang/Kovan area, she has to get up at 5am every morning to catch the bus at 5.30am. I don’t hv the heart to subject her to such morning tortures and I m looking at pooling students living in the same area to share a cab. If there r parents who are interested to explore this idea, pls feel free to call me @ 97347181.
Cheers

I guess the transfer was due to GEP. Why didn't you consider Rosyth which is much nearer to where you live? Perhaps you will have better chance if you ask around in the school.Dear Parents

Yeah, I know what you mean...when that happens, we may have to consider a second set of wheels - or \"bao\" taxi down (is that still happening? )

Thanks. Yep, she's in GEP and had insisted on a girls' sch coz she can't stand boys, probably a passing phase. You mentioned asking around in sch, but is there a way to reach out to the other students ?

Your daughter can try to ask around but it will be like fishing as she won't know who have their own transport and where they live. Usually the students have to ask around in the same schoolbus which at least you know those students are taking schoolbus and live around your area.
