I love the piano teacher .. She is very good and part of the reason for my daughter loving piano .

In that case, and since the teacher is good, could it be your daughter is not practicing enough, or not doing it the right way? For example, does she learn new pieces by sight reading, or does she writes down the notes before attempting the piece?

Since she is 6, you should ideally be sitting together with her in her practice sessions, or at least nearby enough to observe her practicing. But it seems from your posts it appears you have been doing this. So perhaps you may want to see if the practice sessions can be improved. Children this age are still not able to plan practice sessions and break their pieces into smaller chunks to practice, so you need to help her do it. Practicing well involves a lot of repetitions and also a degree of problem solving. Most young children will not be able to understand this; their idea of practice involves just repeating the parts of the piece they can easily play without any regards to correct any mistakes.

It was painful teaching my own girl piano when she was still a preschooler. I could not understand why she could not get simple pieces right. More than 10 years down the road, today her skills has surpassed mine. she has completed her grade 8 with high distinction and plays for the church. Some kids just need more time to mature and learn. Don't compare.

Maybe to induce some internal competition amongst her students to motivate them to work harder?

But this doesn't work for everyone. May just discourage some.

Reassess the suitability to the teacher. Is your girl doing what is beyond her ?
And your kid's practice regime.
How does she typically practice or try a new piece ?
When my boy was learning note reading, I made Flashcards. You may want to see how else to make her learn better.
Like now my boy has difficulty remembering (or plain lazy) musical terms for his theory tests, after translating them to flashcards to \"play\", he can remember them well.

Flash cards sounds good . I think I will make my own to try too
Anyone here know which apps on phone related to piano learning is good ?

Is it a must to go through every grade examination? How long it takes to prepare for each grade examination in general? Thanks.
