Guess they may have follow MOE guidelines not to have much homework & scrap off exam like CA1, SA1 & CA2.

Ha.ha maybe we need to let our child attend more enrichment courses since the school is not giving more homework
      ? 😎
      Hi titank,

          Hi All,

Did anyone take part in the Marathon Walk by RMPS yesterday? Can share what highlights being brief?
er...we were late  so didn't join the walk. Quickly :siam: when we saw her form teacher at the ending point....

We only visited the stalls and headed for lunch while they were announcing the lucky draw winners. Didn't get to hear any highlights lor...paiseh

Nothing in particular, except for the fact that upgrading works for the school will commence end of this year. The principal requested all parents to bear with the school as some inconvenience would be experienced. Two new blocks will be built. If I recall correctly, the principal mentioned previously they would build an indoor stadium. Not sure whether this is still the plan because no further details were given yesterday.

Mr. Yong went through some warm up exercises with us before the jog started. We walked from the school to the Henderson Waves before finally reaching Mt Faber SAFRA.

There were stalls and games. There was a sandwich making competition. I think the event wasn't that well organised, in my humble opinion.

Turnout was rather pathetic, too, I would say. Not sure whether this has been the case all along. :?

The only consolation was that we got to talk to my son's teachers. We had all the time we wanted to find out about our boy's performance. 😎

              Hi Blue-March,

Can share how is this Kumon at Bukit Merah? They are focusing more on Maths?

I thought this is a yearly event by RMPS where they should be very professional in organising?

                  Hi All,

I was told by the teachers today that RMPS does not have GEP. For those who have done well, they will be posted to nearby schools.

Not sure if it will change 2 years down the road though…

[/quote]Please also share what do they do there? My understanding is that they will be doing worksheets w/o much teaching. If my understaning is wrong, please correct me. I am contemplating if I should send my DS for Kumon.

Strange. Why no GEP? Did you probe?

Post to nearby schools? I thought RMPS is one of the best in the Bt Merah area? That's according to my definition of \"nearby\".
