I went to Han's recently. Tried their grilled fish. Standard quite bad. That Far East branch :siam:

Hi TA,

I ordered sweet & sour pork while mum ordered hor fun. Taste is acceptable. The previous time I ordered their black pepper chicken. Not too bad. Taste is very hainanese.
Have not eaten Jack’s place for a long time.

Went Wild Honey@scott Square with my girlfriends for our monthly gathering...average and overpriced food + poor services. We should have gone for buffet at Line instead. Fortunately, company was superb..I had a blast time with my girlfriends..but alas time was too short as we needed to go back home for our kids before 2pm.


Can anyone recommend nice place (preferably Central area) for weekday breakfast (apart from Yakun, Toastbox, Coffeebean etc? )

I haven't tried their breakfast but their waffles are good. Assembly Coffee at Evans Road, near Botanic Gardens. I think they open at 8am.

Thanks for the suggestion. Botanical Garden is a good choice!

Han's standard (compared to 10-20 years ago) has dropped a lot across the island.

Hans (and Jack's Place, for that matter) used to be middle-class joints and a visit to these places used to be a big occasion when we were young kids. My hubby mentioned that he used to salivate thinking of Hans pandan kaya cake but he now shunned it as he found it \"low class\".
