      Hi Socks!

      Thanks for the info!

Good to know of the smaller class size & the CCA "CAFE" Program in NJ!

      Your kid(s) is in NJ?

Do you have any idea if it’s very competitive to DSA via Academic to NJ?

Do u know what was the PSLE cut off score (2014 batch entering in Yr 1 2015) for entry to NJ?

          Hello Dinah!

Yes, Dsa is very competitive. There were many students present for the written test. There’s only one route to dsa in NJC IP - via academics. All applicants sit for written tests for English and Maths.

The cop for year 1 students entering in 2015 is 254.

          Cheers

            Dinah:

Do the student get to pick & are eventually allocated to the CCA they're opt for? Cuz a lot of other schools view CCA so competitively that students need to audition for it & eventually don't get to their CCA choice
If the student is talented in a particular CCA that NJC offers, he/she can also apply to the Talent Management Scheme during the first year. Don't have to wait till second year.

This year my girl is in JH2.

So now she is thinking of what subject combination to take next year.

                      1) Higher LA + double science
                      2) Higher IH + double science
                      3) Triple science.

What is the consideration to decide on their choice?

What is the advantages of taking Higher LA / Higher IH compared with triple science?

My girl has no strong subject, most of her subject is so so only. (B/C type of grade). She is slightly strong in her LA & GS (A/B type of grade) but not those top score student in her cohort. I suggest that she take triple science. She said she prefer to take Higher LA or Higher IH. :scared:
