      Jasmine.

You can refer to http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/tampines for past yr application result.

St Hilda’s is a GEP school so it’s more popular than poi Ching.

Poi Ching academic track record is not really fantastic.

          Hello all,

I am puzzled on how to understand the balloting statistics for acs baker n sji.
Stats shows balloting outside 2km for phase 2c, however I called the school n they say balloting even for within 1km?

May I know what is the possibility of no balloting for within 1km for each school based on best effort from past balloting stats.

          Thanks!

This is straight from MOE last year immediately after 2014 Phase 2C:

            Anglo-Chinese School (Junior)
Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing outside 2km of the school.

            Anglo-Chinese School (Primary)
Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing outside 2km of the school.

            St. Joseph's Institution Junior
Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing outside 2km of the school.

Of course, if you are a PR, these stats would not apply to you.

Need some advice from the expert here. I have 2 young kids. As my son is born in dragon year, I start to worry about his school despite he isJust 3 years old. I am willing to move house to near to school. I look at the balloting statistic but don’t really know how to read it. Can anyone kind enough to let me know which good school which has higher chance for my kid to go in if I stay within 1 km of the school.

                Thank you

They will have more classes for dragon babies. To play safe, do PV.

If you just want to be able to get into any school within 1km, just go for those schools with no color coding in any of the Phases in the Balloting charts.

Hello felt that there is no such thing as good or bad school. Every school is the same. Remember good school even the result is good also got bad students.

Even if we are not kiasu and subscribe to the \"every school is a good school\" mantra, if we are unlucky enough to be staying right beside a really popular school, parents would be in for a very difficult time. So it is important to understand how popular those neighbouring schools are, in order to avoid the shock later.
