Hi Lily,
I think you saw the outside where the older kids are. PN2 classes are inside and you probably can’t see it from the office. There are good and bad thing about the school. What i don’t like is that they do everything within the same class room, i.e eat, read, play, learn and sleep. Her classroom is pretty boring and everything is kinda old. there are no bright art work or happy decoration. …etc.
This is just my opinion maybe it will be different from your experience.
One of the reason I didn’t want to switch my child out is that I dont wish to start all that crying all over again! I was thinking for a long time to switch her out after 1 week…!!! -

Hi Yapht88,Hi all,
Im a newbie father and I have loads of questions.
I am thinking on enrolling my girl (11mths) to Kinderland@CCK.
Hope seniors out there can help answers my questions:
1) Any reviews of Kinderland @ CCK?
2) What is the procedure to do registration for my kid? Must go there sign up or can just call to sign up?
3) Is there usually a waiting list?
4) My gal turning 18mths only in Aug. When is a suitable time for registration?
5) Whats is the pricing for playgroup?
Thank you and have a nice day!
I'm a parent who had my daughter enrolled in kinderland CCK beside Lot 1 this month. I believe your child will be in the same class if you enrolled in August as there is only 1 playgroup.
My wife and me decided to withdraw our child just after 3 days due to many flaws found.
1. Their teacher and admin staff had poor attitude and service towards parents, basically were quite hostile when parents try to find out more about the child's class.
2. The school does not allow 1 parent to accompany the child for the first 3 days when most other childcare does. This is crucial to allow the child to cope with the new environment and people.
3. Our child had an accident during one of the days and the Chinese teacher didn't even apologise to my wife, but instead blamed her for distracting them. There was no sense of guilt nor reflection on the teacher.
4. The assistant teacher looked sleepy and did many mistakes such as putting the wrong volume of water for the milk when the water level is clearly marked on the bottle. When asked, she gave an excuse that she standardized the volume for all children.
5. The water to make the milk was also too hot to be drank..my child rejected it and said \"hot\" to my wife. When the assistant teacher was asked, she gave another excuse that there was no cooled boiled water to mix with the hot water!!! This issue was brought up to the principal and the principal clarified that there is cooled boiled water for mixing.
The school keeps emphasizing that the teachers can handle the children and the children should be left for the teachers right from day 1!
The fact that they don't allow parents to be in the class, spells that there was no monitoring by parents at all of how the teachers did.
The above points had showed that the teacher and assistant teacher were very careless and sloppy.
Service by the admin staff was horrible. you can see that discipline is only enforced on the children BUT NOT the staff.
We hope you will reconsider that seriously, or you can request to sit in the class for the first 3 days to observe yourself.
The fees are $1100 per month before government grant.
There is NO waiting list as there is lack of students. We are wondering if other parents had been more diligent than us not to enroll here.
We will write a separate post on this, please look out for kinderland CCK post by me.

Hi caringparent,
I am sorry to hear about your experience.
The standards of the teachers in each childcare center differ greatly. Sometimes you re require to trial and error to figure out if the center is good which means the kid will have to go through another time of getting use to. I have seen 3 different child care centers and placed my child in the 4th one, and still not to my liking. My child is in Kinderland MOE for half day only as I am just not sure if the school can cope with so many children in the class. But I am aware that kids are very resilient and they can adapt quickly. They are such amazing creatures....
