I’m not certain whether the school actually publish the Percentile Report, but I guess parents can check with the teachers when you meet them tomorrow. I reckon an Overall Grade Point Average of 3.6 should be a good enough score to the school, since it is the minimum criteria for RA consideration, on top of attaining a Grade Point of 4.0 for Subject of Choice.

RGS gives the median score for each component in a subject. From there one can derive the median GPA of a subject and hence the median overall GPA. It would appear that the median overall GPA for Year 2 is 3.66.

Do correct me if the math reasoning is incorrect/flawed.

For the progress report of my DD in year 1, I believe the median mark for each assessment refers to the class level. Hers is not GEP class, so might be lower?

Heard from her that those below 3.2 will have to attend Remedial Programme. If we assume Remedial Programme only for small percentage say 10%, does it mean 3.2 is roughly 10th percentile?

          Any thoughts on this?

I don't know any percentile rankings and haven't heard, so if anyone has info where to find it, I'd be grateful.

Just a note: We need to distinguish between GPA for a subject and overall GPA, especially for Yrs 3 & 4. This is because a student may be very weak in a subject, but her overall GPA may still be high because it is made up for by stronger subjects, or (in Yrs 3 & 4) it may not be counted. I do know that promotion criteria is overall GPA 2.0, so since very few, if any, don't get promoted, that should be something like the 1st percentile? But it doesn't mean that GPA 2.0 is necessarily the 1st percentile for any single subject.

Edit : there are some girls with overall GPA of 4.0 in the current year 4

Where did you find this out? Hearsay? Just curious.

I believe the median scores in the Progress Report refer to the entire cohort and not class.

From actual parents whose DDs had overall 4.0

Not that rarified. If the median mark for most subjects is around 3.6, then overall GPA 4.0 shouldn't be that rare. 5% is about 20 girls?
