A family friend just came back from visiting Northern Hokkaido with Chan Brothers. She said the itinerary is good, and 好吃好住. Not sure about the price.

I like Prime Travel's Follow Me Japan for Japan Tour. Went Hokkaido with them many years back. Excellent quality accommodation and food. All my friends who have used them have only compliments too. A class above the usual travel agency, but price also higher. 一分钱一分货.

Watch the news nearer to ur date of travel n decide appropriately. Will be going again in aug n oct n will update this board.

Thanks, yes I agree. Need to check with airlines if there's any refund if I need to cancel the tickets.

A fren in Tokyo now told me they did not feel
the shake. They were prob on streets happily shopping

My family is leaving for Japan in a few days’ time. Friends who are there and stay there told me it is pretty safe as they are quite used to earthquakes. A friend even sent me a video of the latest earthquake and it was life as per normal even during the shake. She was at disneyland when the earthquake occurred. I was a bit concerned when the news reported that they are expecting a larger scale earthquake but my Jap friend told me she has been hearing about the big earthquake for the past 20+ years.


Am wondering if travel insurance covers earthquakes? Earthquakes are foreseeable and highly probable in Japan.
