      Hi ET_mum,

I am not speaking for the teachers in Palm View. In fact this is generally referred to all teachers in Singapore. I guess personally, my concern is not whether the teachers are young or old. Young doesn’t mean that they don’t have the necessary qualifications or qualities to teach and guide the children, old doesn’t mean that they are flexible to the ever changing teaching methods to new generation kids. Remember our ear-pulling days from teachers?

I think most importantly, teachers need to have a passion and the ‘heart’ to want to guide the kids well. Anyway, my boy’s teacher is 29 years old this year. Wonderfully happy to have her because she knows how to manage the class well and most importantly my boy has no issues with her. Of course not forgetting the fact that no school will have all ‘perfect’ teachers and expectations will differ among parents.

Just my 2 cents worth. Happy sourcing !

Just to add, my kids have both young n older teachers for their preschool education n I feel they both have their strengths in teaching the kids. Younger ones can relate more n energetic while older ones are more caring/nurturing n patient. Just my personal obervations.

May I ask if the side/backdoor is opened b4 assembly? Cos its a nearer route fr my HSE.

            Hi acmum and lovekids22,

Yes, I fully agreed with both of you. Passion and the love for kids are impt qualities of teachers. Thanks for your sharing 🙂

              Hi acmum,

If I can remember correctly, it is not advisable to take trolley bags to the school. Also, I have not yet seen any kids in Palm View pulling trolley bags. Actually it can be quite a hassle (trolley bags) as the kids will need to climb up 3 levels of staircase to go to the assembly hall every morning.
Some of the workbooks for Primary One is actually kept in school to prevent extra carrying load.

You can look at SPI bags, they help to support the child's back. Do not consider Deutuer bags (don't know if I spelt it correctly..), expensive and heavy. I know 2 parents who regretted buying that bag. Bags from Smiggles are not bad as well.

              Hope this helps!

                Hi to all parents here,

I should be registering my gal for Palm View this year. Just a simple question to check with parents whose kids are already in Palm View.
I did a recce around the school last night and would like to check if this particular side gate near BLK 282 (built together with a walkway as well) would be opened for parents to pick up their kids during school dismissal time? or do we have to walk right to the main gate to pick up our kids?

Hope to hear from any of you soon. Thanks 🙂

At the moment, the gate near blk 282 is still not in use yet. Dismissal will be the gates along compassvale bow.
