        Hi Iggy,

that's entirely true - we don't cover performance cars with our main car insurance product. That's very much targeted at the mainstream driver, or what we call the 'safe driver' segment, so not at the very young new driver, the very old, those with a lot of accidents, and those in sporty cars, for example. This means we can keep the price down for the vast majority as we are not targeting those which are considered more risky.

It's worth pointing out though that we recently launched another car insurance product - SOS car insurance, which is for so-called 'high risk' drivers - those that have had a number of accidents in the past, and are struggling to get insurance and been declined. Where someone has been unlucky with accidents in the past this may be a route back for them:

        I hope that's helpful .....

        iggy:
They dont cover performance car though.

How do you ever get thru their hotline?? It's been the whole morning. Infact saw on their fb page, some even commented they have been trying to get thru the past few days with no avail.

Planning to check on renewal already so difficult to get thru. TOUCH WOOD, if emergency how??? :yikes:

Eh, had no issues when I was renewing my insurance few weeks back. I did the renewing via the website BUT then realised I had a good driver voucher (someone else got it) that I forgot to redeem. Called the hotline (no issue reaching) and they told me to scan and email the voucher to them. Next thing I knew, they emailed and called me to let me know that the rebate is credited to the credit card I paid my premiums with.

Still heart this insurance company. :rahrah: :rahrah:

For me, always do comparison among few insurance companies and buy the one that suits you most.

My friend has his car insured recently and save about $130 when he jump to another company.

He just get an agent to quote and the agent return with 5 quotes from different companies and he choose the cheapest one.

Again reminder. Compare and buy the one that you are most comfortable with.
