      tahoo:
Some questions about day care service:

      1) Does APS provide day care service?
      No
      2) What is the recommended day care service in the neighbourhood?
Next year, the school will move back to its original location when the reno is done & there is a day care service center just opp the school.
      3) Is it recommended for P1 to start day care service?[/color]

Hi, may i know in the upper primary, do the teachers give a lot of extra classes for every students, be it students with good or poor results?

Read a few people commented about given worksheets and didnt get back or didnt mark? Is it still the case now?

          Hi Ksstich

They do have supplementry class & high achiever class after school, like twice a week.
          That covers all subjects.
For the worksheets, my dd does not have that issues, teachers always go thru the papers.

            Hi. Ksstitch,

Yes, I second your remark. I also came across similar cases from APS P6 students too. Worksheets were given as homework but were never collected by teacher to mark, still carried in the students’ school bags until next term and they dared not remove as afraid one day teacher will ask for it. Teacher never go through answers with students as well. English compo is also done so rarely. What’s more, teacher only gave topic in a worksheet as homework, no explanation nor elaboration. After students handed in their written compo, they never see it anymore… wonder if it’s being marked or reviewed by teacher… sigh…

              Hi SOSmum and SAHM2013,

Appreciated your replies on the school!
Seems like the rare compo practice and doing unmarked worksheets are really worrying!

SOSmum, which level is your DD in now?

May I know if Anderson teaches HCL from p1 onwards?

              Thanks

                Hi Ksstitch

My dd is in P6 this yr. Regarding the wkshts maybe it depends on individual teacher?
Students are on HCLfr P1, however when they reach P4, base on their marks,
They will decide if they continue HCL.

                  Hi SOSmum,

after going through 6 years in this school, would you think that it is a good school that prepares the kids well, especially for PSLE?

                    Hi Ksstitch,

I think so, my dc like their teachers n enjoy their school life in APS.
They have no tuition and I think the teachers have good bonding with the students which I think is important.
