I also brought my kids to changi airport few wks ago. Found out that all viewing galleries are block & under some construction works. Maybe some reno? Only managed to find a small corner at T2 where the kids can view 3 planes only.I was at Changi A/P in early January.
Couldn't find any viewing galleries at T1, T2 and T3 :x
We left in disappointement. Wonder what has happen to the viewing galleries???

IMO, more fun to watch aeroplane at Changi Beach than Changi Airport.

I think the best place to view the plane will be somewhere near changi beach?

I brought DD1 to T3 last year after reading online that they have a butterfly garden or something like that. When we got there, we realised that this was a \"privilege\" for transit/paying passengers only. I was so pissed at the website for not stating that clearly. There was nothing else of interest there so it was a wasted trip. We couldn't even see anything at T1 since it was undergoing reno.
It was pouring heavily when we were there and we saw some kids from some centre there. They were told to draw what they saw at the so-called gallery. It was pouring so heavily and there weren't many planes moving so I really pitied them. One boy used his imagination and creativity and drew a helicopter but was scolded by the teacher, and given strict instructions to just draw what he could see out the windows. Poor boy!
The gallery at T3 is in the wrong position lah. T1 is the best cos can see the planes taking off. At T3, you only see them taxiing. So boring.

Agreed wif you.
I think the only thing about T3 is that it is spacious and empty and good for kids to run around.
The next thing maybe is the big foodcourt that is at the basement.schellen:

Sounds like we are really boring people....we go Terminal 1, 2, 3 to take off or land home only....hardly think of going there just to jalan jalan.
In fact trip to the airport is always like a super run to ensure we clear all the immigration on time and have all our things in place.
Maybe one day we should just do what you people are doing here...take a ride to the airport to jalan jalan....
