      Loving_Mom:
      Hi,

I am new to this forum not knowing so many parents are already online. Anyway, my daughter felt the struggle from p4 to p5 throughout all her subjects. I've managed to tone the heat down a little by being able to find an concept application tutor for science and math but I am still having a hard looking for a reliable private tutor for writing. I believe the standard will get higher in time so I wonder parents who might live near one another can assist? Thank you in advance.
Pardon me but I find it weird that newbie will come and sing praises about a particular tutor just like that. No offence meant but I have been disappointed by many an unscrupulous tutor masquerading as happy parents.

To all reading this, if you want kids to improve on writing, reading alot is one way of success. So far I have seen people who send kids to writing SCHOOLS and have had varying degrees of success. Just check out those threads. I not going to endorse any because all kids different.

And yes, I have seen very good examples printed by DS1 HWS teacher when he was in p3. The standards really (happily) shocked me and I was delighted by the work his then teacher had done in the class and what she was sharing with the class. See that HWS also.putting more efforts in printing good compos for kids to read. Hope HWS keep up the good work!

Is there anywhere that can get past year paper or any practise questions for the kids?

          Anyone can share?

My gal in Primary 1 this year and seems lagging due to insufficient practising. But not knowing where can i get the material for her.

          Please advise.

Did i missed the CCA enrollment for my gal? She in Pri 1 this year, and i wanting her to join the Wu Shu or Skipping but not knowing when/where to enroll.

Do i need to inform her form teacher in her interest?

If you are keen, just buy those top school past year papers, should be more than enough practise for your child.

Call up the school and ask the teachers in charge of the cca - should be more effective than letting the form teacher know.

                  Thanks for the reply.

Went to the HWS 95th anniversary concert preview today and was very impressed by their performance especially the Drum & Wu Shu.

But my gals just can't make up her mind on which CCA to join. Headache... πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“

I saw that the school website had changed. Can take a look if interested.

Ehhh I see these selling everywhere near centrals (Toa payoh, ang mo kio etc). Just have to keep a lookout. There are some whose names mentioned in ksp forums that deliver also. If bras basah is convenient, then can sure find at the bookshops on second or third level (up escalator can see, hard to miss). I don’t think popular stock these though.

Btw I assume your weekend is sat. Am not sure if they are open on sun.
