Nope, we given up on it. It seems like we are not the only parents complaining about this 5D CL teacher but seems like all are scattered efforts and not seeing improvement. They probably \"entertain\" you for a while and brush you off. Anyway, I am sure I will see Mr. Heng Swee Kiat one day when he does house visits during election time and I will take this up to him personally. That's all I can say..
Dreamgear:
Did you manage to speak to the HOD? Just got an email from her with all the parents email addresses in it. Really driving me up the wall....what can we do about it???Minecrafter:
Parents meeting week. Just very curious to know if there will be any parents heading to see the H.O.D. Chinese regarding the CL teacher for 5D?
PM me if you do? Perhaps more people make the voice louder.. -
I totally agreed with you on the below quote. I believe the current principle is too academic focus. That's why some teachers want to show results at the expense of running the risk in killing the kids' interest in study. It's so hard nowadays as compared to our school days in the 80s.
Such a depressing blue Monday..Dreamgear:
Its the new principle who is creating this big jumpGabby:
Is it a big jump from p4 to P5? Feel so stressed this year.

Very depend on the teacher and the teaching method that makes Chinese interesting. My DS hardly write or read Chinese in K1 and K2. But P1 his results not bad and now in P3, his chinese is much better than English . I had to admit he had a very good teacher in the first 2 years and his interest for Chinese had since increase tremendously.
Not sure what is the new principle plan but i also notice the teachers are more competitive now and slightly more stressful than previous years. -
Mindcrafter and dreamgear, I believe our kids are all in the same class and we are probably feeling the heat from the same person.

Yes. Pei Chun very difficult to get in phase 2c and chij is out of 2km. I am thinking of sending my girl to poi ching and get her take sch bus back. But not sure if sch bus comes to potong pasir. Anyone has sch bus contact? I am also worry when she in higher primary and needs to stay back late in sch. Will the sch bus still willing to send her home ?
Hi snowbell,
I stay near Potong Pasir too and have just registered under 2A1. Will you be registering in Poi Ching? I tried the flyover, 15-20mins drive with smooth traffic. Seems like not too bad. But same like you, now I am thinking of the return home and duno if I have made the right choice to register so far. But around this area really no more good schools for girls.
N looking at the posts of the parents of existing students here, I m starting to feel the stress.

Hi blurmummy,
Did u manage go find a sch bus from sengkang to tampines ?
If no, can share how u send your kids? -
For SAP sch… only english, maths, science are taught in english.
The rest of subject under Chinese as medium -
All non core are taught in English except for CCE. For SAP schools, they have a variety of enrichment and CCA to support Chinese language and culture.

We are staying in Potong Pasir for the time being and moving only in mid 2015. We have registered in 2A2. The flyover seem a good option. -
Hi,
My boy has been registered for 2016 P1. Does anyone have old P1 book that you do not need ? As we are currently living overseas and this is our first child returning back to Singapore education system. So we are keen to take a look at the text book to understand what are we expecting.
Thanks in advance.
