I saw a new traffic lights installation (not operational yet) just before the road RGPS parents drive out of the school out to the main road.

Hopefully with the MRT line up soon, more parents will not drive to send their children to schools along both sides of Bukit Timah estate.

yup Im really afraid of the jam, it may be worse thn past years since P1 n 2s will be in the morning session, estimate 600 students frm P1 AND p2. Previously it was P3 to P6 in the morning so theres definitely going to heavier traffic on both sides of the road.
Most of te kids are driven or taking sch buses.

Put them down at the bus stop and walk into the school by the side gate.

But the ferrying cars still need to pass the roads.

This message is for parents with child now in JH3, JH4 or SH1 who is taking the subject Physics.

This morning I met with my elder boy’s Physics teacher at the SH2 Parents Teachers Meeting.

According to the Physics teacher, the focus now is to make sure the students present the answer properly.

I did not understand what was meant by presenting answers cos I did not take Physics during my A levels.

                  So I clarified.

A student will write down workings, but if there is no explanation (as in using words) to describe the workings, there will be marks deducted.

I thought this is unusual. Physics is a subject taken since JH3, why there are still SH2 students not presenting answers in accordance to the syllabus requirements?

So I asked the teacher the above. He gave an answer which did not really answer my question and I stopped asking.

I returned home and asked my elder boy who felt that in the earlier years, the teachers were more concerned about the mastery of the subject and hence did not penalize students for answer non presentation.

Yes, the Physics teacher did mention something along the same line- students would have failed the test if the marking was in accordance with the A levels.

I do not agree to the above approach as I am a believer of Do it right the first time.

I am posting this to alert parents of child who is taking Physics to check with your child whether the Physics teacher has taught answer presentation skills.

                  Hope this post is useful.

Hi Jennifer! I know your elder son is in shooting. May I ask, Does he still need to attend the CCA training at school on top of his NYT training?

I checked: he does not actively go to the sch for training, sometimes yes, sometimes no, no longer strictly clocking the number of CCA hours. As he was in the exco, he would still drop by the range occasionally.
