BabyRR:
Cyn32, for kids stronger in chinese, will they get a chance to do hcl? Tku.
Hi,
Can I help to answer this question?
MCS will separate girls from P1 into different classes for MT (at least for Chinese, not sure about Malay or Tamil). These girls will go to different teachers for Chinese, and will be joining girls from other classes. The sorting is based on their MT performance in the early chinese class work. Thereafter, the girls will have the respective exposure. Thus far, my DD who is in the slightly better class for Chinese seemed to be given quite a bit of exposure for Chinese (though I'm not certain if it's comparable to the Higher Chinese syllabus, perhaps other more experienced MCS parents can help enlighten on this).
Only in P5 will girls better in Chinese be asked to choose Higher MT or not (though I'm not certain how much their performance in other subjects will be taken into account for this decision). -

Hi..We are thinking of enrolling our daughter in MCS this year (2016)
Hi, im enrolling my girl this year too. Which phase are you in?
MCS is a great school (only drawback is no affiliation, sigh!) and the gals are polite and happy. Teachers and principals / VP are approachable and understanding.
Phase 2C is historically no problem whatsover, and there's still vacancies after all the SC and PR who applied got in successfully. Phase 2CS is riskier. All the best!

My DD is in P2. She isn't in aftercare, but I've seen the aftercare gals often (the aftercare in this holding school is right next to the pickup point/foyer) and the gals are always happy.

Hello Everyone~
Just email to MOE and change our choice of CHIJ Toa Payoh to Marymount under 2C.
MOE kindly informed us to re-consider as CHIJ TP is under 1-2km range. We have Hong Wen as our alternative choice as is within 1km but in the end, we choose Marymount (>2km).
All the best to all!
