My son is taking PSLE this year. His Chinese is not very good.

Check with parents here...
What is the best thing to do for revisions?
Shd I get him to read 课本 and/or 词语手册?
Tuition teacher said just do the MCQ books will do, as the words will be used in the context of sentences and practice makes perfect. Is that the right strategy?

Advice will be appreciated.

见仁见智。
我的策略是先注重8月20日的口试。我必须确保学生记牢口试时可能会出现的名词，例如：摩天观景轮、电动扶梯、扶手、吊环，花洒之类的名词。接着训练学生如何一气呵成地叙述图片，并加入带有正确价值观的感想。朗读文章分数比较容易拿下，不过得多加注意多音字与声调问题。例如：“埋头”是mái tóu；“埋怨”是mán yuàn。

口试过后，我将全心投入在听力、作文、阅读理解等的练习。作文与阅读理解2难度较高，得花较多时间和学生一起复习，让他们融会贯通，才能信心满满地走入考场。 :boogie:

Hi everyone. I can write a long composition with a lot of details described clearly. However, I always tend to forget to add in phrases. I memorised a lot of phrases but can’t seem to apply it into my compostions under stressful conditions. I do add in some to describe happiness and fear. My teacher always gives about 16 for language which I think is a little bit too high. For content, I would usually get about 17-18. Even if I tried to add in plenty of phrases, my sentence will often sound illogical. Help please!
