      Hi chasingjelly,
u got any reply from the CL tr? today DS came back saying tr now says can choose any one of the 1st 5 poems, then next 5 is for SA2. Is this what the CL tr says also? Now my DS also wants to choose the shortest one.
Just before he slept, ds mentioned that they can choose from only 5 poems but didn't elaborate. Initially he wanted to do a short one from the back, and he said he needed to choose a new one. Will get more details from him tomorrow.

I spoke to my dd's CL tr. She also said the same thing - choose any of the first five poems.

I am quite confuse now and would like to ask some questions can anyone share:

. 1st, there was this set of poems distributed. So now the 1st 5 is for mid year exam and the other is for final year and any one of them is fine (even the simple one would be the same score). The poems is for early May exam or test the kids during class?

. 2nd, another set of oral and picture discussion is for the Mid April Oral Exam. The four pictures given is only for guide or suppose to study hard for one of it?

. Lastly, any information on English oral and LC?

            Please share.

                你好。

                我们希望学生从《儿歌集》的前5首中选出1首,因为这5首老师会教导。如果有学生愿意尝试后面的任何1首,我们不反对。

                若尚有任何问题,欢迎提问。

                祝好

                  2818,
From the list that shows the P1 topics to be tested for SA1, there is a note in the 2nd column for 7 May that says that the poems recitation will be conducted during lesson time. However, it is not clear which day they will do it. Perhaps need to email the CL tr to ask.

                    Hi lostbunny,

Spoken to CL teacher this morning she has cleared my doubt. To share with u as follows:

1st on the poems - choose anyone from the 1st 5 if the child has chosen to read the others difficult ones is fine. They carried the same score and it will be tested during class lesson and dates should follow the time table given.

2nd the oral, the sets of pictures given with helping words is just a guide. For pictures discussion, the child is suppose to be able to tell what is the scene about and elaborate further whether from left to right or vice versa to describe what the picture is about.

                    Have a Good Day!

                        Thanks. Very useful information.

As an aside, sometimes I wonder about other kids whose parents are unable to pay so much attention like us. How will they cope? Can they even cope?
