I got my maid from this agency - Yan & Yan Employment @ Katong


1) Pinoy

Was good in languages but lazy, forgetful and always sick, so after 7 months return

2) Mynnmar

So called ex-sg but come to my place completely know nothing. Blur and don’t know how to speak, read and write a single word of english. Communication totally breakdown and everything cannot fulfill, asked for replacement after 1 month

3) Mynnmar

So called ex-sg, can speak better english. The next day told me to send her back to agency.

All her maids are lousy, incompetent and bad attitude. The lady boss also hare care attitude and keep recommending low quality and unsuitable maid just to earn money. Hard to contact as she will off her hp. Bad services.

I had lost my SIP and insurance even for the less than 24 hours Mynnmar maid.

No option, i switched to another agent and paid agency fee and everything all over again.

My situation almost like you.

1. Pinoy - Good English, we all like her but after 6 months I found her stealing and taking control pill.

2. Mynnmar(Now) - 2 weeks, no good english, bad attitude, rude, princess, cannot take it anymore.

So did you manage to get back your balance loan?

Till now agent only give me one bio-data and just tell me this one ok.
From pic it look like 50++ and is quite dissappointed tat by now they should know our expectation.

If you guys have any good maid recommend pls let me know.

I m totally not related to the maid agency.
Get a helper from an agency tat support the idea no hp and no off day.

State this clearly during interview. Even confirmation. Get them to sign.

Test the agency. Some said ok but they actually close their eyes n dun care abt maid carry mutiple hp.
More than happy to persuade the helper to change employer as they can earn from both parties.

Managed to retrieve back the loan money fortunately.
But total within a year lost 3 x insurance pro rated and levy. The last mynnmar is the worse, less than 24 hours!!! The agent do nothing and just let her change her clothes and sit there waiting for the next prey.

I do not understand why are we under their mercy, we are genuine looking for maids to look after our children while we work to supplement family expenses and not those tai tai just get a maid to serve them, why do we need to pay for the levy and absorbing cost when we are not at fault.

Sigh… really feel miserable but I called MOM, they just told me nothing can be done.

Correct! This will be my 3rd time too within 7 months…At first I thought i so heng got my first good one…Now I calculate I really spend so much!Hard pain but still have to solve the problems…

I also realise nowadays filipino mostly wanted 2-4 days off.
May I ask do they give you back the loan money immed or wait till they found another employer for the maid you want to transfer?

I went down to the agency immediately and i demand an immediate refund and compensation!!! Maybe i am lucky and the lady boss was rushing for time so she also unwillingly return me on the spot.


Yes, all want min 2-4 days off, and worse still the 2 mynnmar maid the first moment step into my house asked for wi-fi already, haven’t even start work, they told me their ex-employer all gave them wi-fi access. This type of quality still want me to give them wi-fi!!

The levy die die want us to foot when they do all these to us.

My mum recently hired a Myanmar maid to look after my grandma. They were all full of praise for her... can cook very well, speak good Mandarin, do things very efficient, work in SG before. Who knows, she tried to steal $ while my grandma is asleep and no one else is at home! Thinking my grandma is sleeping, she slipped into my uncle's room trying to unlock the drawer. Luckily, my grandma suddenly woke up and caught her in the act. Of course she denied it and left the key hanging there. After checking, they realised the maid actually took the key which was hidden in the cupboard jacket. See, that's what they do at home. Tidying and checking things at the same time. If really need to hire maid, be sure to keep all your valuables locked and keys well-kept. :roll:
