For your session I guess would be on Thursday, 08 Apr 10, from 9.30 to 11.30 am. Maybe can list down all your questions & :nunchuk: let the Principal address it.

Thanks again titank, for your reply. Appreciate it. I'll be there this Thurs and if any one has Qs for Mdm Lee, feel free to post here, I'll collate and reply in this thread after the session.

For now, the questions i can think of:

a) screening for P1- how many 'best' classes will there be for next year P2?

b) Language/ Maths - There are too many Eng sessions compared to Maths sessions, understand from earlier thread that school wants to focus on language first. This learning approach will continue till end of P1, P2 or will amend according to the overall progress for each level? (Or can we focus on both at the same time?) Sorry, not that I'm greedy but i personally feel that Maths is so important as when they enter P3, the children would need good Maths foundation for them to cope with science subject as well. And science is not an easy subject if you don't understand the concept. Maybe can share yr views here.

c) where to house the children since the construction will be on-site? In containers? use other activity rooms?

Let me add on:


(1) Can the school implement the free parking at nearby HDB? Traffic is so bad especially dismissal time. When in single session in 2013 guess the road must expand to another lane.

Can you please ask the principal why is there a need to change the canteen into a cafe? This is a primary school and we don’t want to inculcate the value of "luxury" at such a young age. Furthermore, how do they plan to contain cost? If it is a cafe, it is supposed to be more upmarket than canteen, and this will translate into higher prices.

I think this will be difficult.... we'll probably have to park illegally along the road and draw dirty looks from Bukit Purmei residents.

The school used to have such arrangement with HDB. This arrangement was terminated last November.
