Well to be fair, even without this parent , it will also go into balloting because another set of parents came quite late to register.

I had wanted to monitor till like 3.45pm to register but decided to do it earlier. I told my hubby, we need to give the 1-2km parents chance to react in the event that they hv no chance to ballot.

I agreed with Win36, if these 3 parents can decided earlier, other parent still have chance to withdraw and not to missed this 2C golden chance. And now they are danger to go for other school end up may not got a decent school which nearer to their home. These last 3 parents are really selfish if they were purposely waited until very last minutes.

Agreed. They may also made parents who are < than 1km to withdraw from ALPS n go Zhangde instead as they are less incline to go into phase 2c supp as really not much choices left at bukit merah. Then there is possibility of no need to go ballot at ALPS for less than 1km.Similarly, those within 1km to 2km can get a chance to apply another school cos sure no chance to ballot.

Does any of the mummies know how long the balloting takes to end? I am not unable to witness the balloting at ALPS on wed due to work commitment. Not sure can get time off or not. Sad that <1km still need to ballot. Thanks.

From my analysis, most likely 6 parents from RVPS, 5 parents from ZDPS and 3 parents from RMPS had withdrwan from earlier phases ( all 14 of them are SC within 1 km of ALPS ) and registered at ALPS under P2C ( most likely at the last minute ).


It is unimaginable that nearly 50 parents who stands NO CHANCE at all( more than 1km ) to get into ALPS at P2C had registered at ALPS.

Should we write collectively to MOE or principal or MP to ask them to consider to admit all? After all only 3 more students and all are SC within 1km.
