[quote=\"02450407\"]Hi all,
Newbie here... My son was born in 2011 and we live in block 417 tampines st 41. So is quite near to both gongshang and tamp north. So would like to seek some advices here.
1. Is gongshang or tamp north better?
2. Do we need to do PV for gongshang or tamp north?
3. If yes, when do we need to start doing PV?
Thanks in advance
I think gongshang is better. It is best to call up the school to ask if they have Pv scheme and when you can start.

Hi
From my understanding, balloting is conducted for those staying within 1km only for the last 2 years. You might want to look into schools nearer to home for the ease of traveling. -
This year I need register my girl for primary school. I am under 2C and within 1km for St hildas. but now SHPS left 43 seat, is it too risky for me try on this school? although i am singaporean.
for other like Poi Ching, Tampines Primary already 1-2 km. If i try for register these 2… if they conducted ballot for within 1km. mean i am out right? -
Hi hi Master,
I have a question. I’m a PR, I’m called to withdraw from a school this morning as the number of application of SC have exceeded the vacancies. My concern is I wish to register another school TPS, but, the vacancies is running low, not sure of my chances of getting in as I’m staying >2km. If I were to try my luck by registering in TPS tomorrow and I’m called to withdraw again before Phase 2C ends, will I be able to register another school under Phase 2C?
Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance! -

There are many \"TPS\" in Singapore - Tampines Primary School, Temasek Primary School and Townsville Primary School. Which is the one you are eyeing?Hi hi Master,

Regardless, the rule is to choose the school nearest to you that historically does not require balloting in Phase 2C. That way, there is no risk that you will be called up again to withdraw from the school.
The balloting history for all Primary schools in Singapore can be found http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/singapore-primary-1-registration-school-balloting-history. -
Thank you for your advise! TPS is referred as Tampines Primary School.
Will I be able to register at other school again under Phase 2C if TPS called to withdraw? I know it is risky as TPS had ballot for PR last year. -

If you miss the cut-off time, you miss the cut-off time (but tomorrow isn't the last day). No exceptions. Also, please don't count on the school to call you to withdraw - it's out of their goodwill and not necessary a required step to perform.Thank you for your advise! TPS is referred as Tampines Primary School.

Given that Tampines Primary School is likely to run into ballot, 82 applicants vs 100 vacancies as of today, why take the risk? And if you are > 2km, your priority is even lower than other PR < 2km.
You will be better off to go for schools like Yumin Primary School, Tampines North Primary School, Junyuan Primary School and East View Primary School that do not require balloting in Tampines. I'm sure that there are other similar schools with low take up else where. -
Thank you very much for your advice! I registered my girl at Jun Yuan Primary.
