Hi Tuang,

So far how you find the foundation program from LCentral? I hope the child would be able to decode reading the word while learn the phonics.
I wonder are they using montessori phonics, spalding phonics or zoo phonics in their course content?

Seem like the reading program now in the market is getting more & more confused now.
Hi Titank
I also don't know what kind of method they are using. That's why I need 3 times trial classes for my gals! She will attend first lesson on this coming friday!
Hi

I also just register my gal with 3 times trial class in CL (Yishun)
Any comment with Yishun branch?

Wow can register 3 times trial session with LCentral? In that case I would consider using this metnod if decided to enrol LCentral.

It is chargeable! Because I'm not sure my gal like it or not!
I guess it is better than you pay lump sum where after that find that the program is not suitable or if the child is not ready. May I know how old iy gal?Born which year?

hi Titank

My gal was born in 2004. She is going to P1 next year. So I’m quite worry about her English.
I belive that the teacher is very important. So after trial class our child will know whether they comfortable with the teacher ?

My 2006 gal just started foundation a few weeks back. Wat I can say it that she enjoys the class very much. Every week, there will be pictures for her to learn the beginning sounds eg m-mouse, m-mountain etc. she’s able to say out beginning sounds of words when we just test her out on those pics not in her book.

Other than that, due to short attention span of kids her age, there’s writing practise, and crafts to emphasize on the sounds learnt eg if she’s learning the m sound, then they’ll do a craft work on mouse…making mouse from paper plates etc.

Overall, she enjoys her class n looks fwd to it. Doing her homework is also not a chore cos she enjoys coloring the pics after learning the sounds.

I have a 2004 boy too in Liftoff program. What program is your child in? My boy enjoys his class a lot. He's now progessing to reading passages & answering the questions on the passage. one thing i like also is the spelling ... now, his spelling is more on sight words and he's so determined to get all words right n earn his stars. they also emphasized on penmanship...which is gd cos my son's handwriting is arrrrrggghhhh.....but he's improving slowly on that.

Hi oneheart,

May I know which outlet is your child attending? The foundation usually how big is the group size? Heard that weekend & weekday fee there is a huge difference? Considering on LCentral for my DD now.

So normally at what age the child would be able to read? Is it with the use of phonics can read those words?
