There was a sports event at NUS High this afternoon. Saw the 4 houses competing, but in a relax, stress-free kind of atmosphere. What's that about? Does that kind of activities happen often?

Nice to see the non-academic aspect of the school. The pupils looked like really enjoying themselves.

Today is Sports Heats between the 4 houses : Nobel, Faraday, Fibonacci and Fleming. ๐Ÿ˜„

I saw some students wearing colored shoes. Are they allowed to wear those during normal school days?

My impression is NUSH is not particularly strict on these things so long as you are clean and tidy. I would say they are more towards letting the students creativity prevail.

My DD was there participating in one of the running event. The last two weeks she's worried about it as she is not the athletics type. But her seniors and friends told her to \"just enjoy the game\". Her friend (who is in the same event) even offered to walk together with her. Today (or yesterday ... past midnight now lol), after the game, though she didn't win anything, she is so excited and is looking forward to the next game. I think there is another heat in the next few weeks and she is looking forward to participate again, no more worries ๐Ÿ™‚ :rahrah:

By 7.40 am but lesson starts at 8.00 am and usually ends around 3 pm, if CCA day, it's 6 pm and if you take enrichment or electives, may end around 5 - 6 pm too. Sometimes Saturdays need to come too for some electives (e.g. MO) or CIP. Lunch usually 1 hr, recess 1/2 hr.

DS1, Year 4, 4 days end 6 pm, DS2 Year 1, 3 days end 6 pm. So practically whole day in school everyday. ๐Ÿ˜‰
