For past invitees to the CO/WL letter collection, can anyone share your experience?

              - How many students are there likely to be?
              - Besides the principal, will there be current students performing/showcasing anything?
              - How long will the session last?
              - Are there many people with CO that do not turn up to collect letter?
              - Do they convert those on WL on the spot as a result of those with CO not turning up?
-Do they call you in advance prior to selection exercise to let you know that your WL is converted to CO?

                1) memory is failing me but I think the sch accepts about 80 through dsa? Academic & sports.
                2) no performance by students 2 yrs back. Principal's talk.
                3) abt half an hour
                4) not sure. I guess there may be some with genuine reasons who can't attend. Most will take time off to attend, esp if you value the co/wl very much. I believe the Co is not rescinded if u can't attend.
                5) no. You'll only know on the day when u collect psle results if your wl is converted.
                6) no. But chances of wl converting to Co is high.

Yes, only 80 but am sure there will be slightly more than 80 attending.

So it is just 1/2 hr only.

:thankyou: so much for sharing ! :snuggles:

                    Hi,

Does anyone know when ACSI will release results of students who have been successful in getting into the Year 3 IP track?

Hi can I ask something about project Hi 5 ?

The timetable for self improvement module is fixed from 22/10 to 13/11 and all student will have to attend , Hence parents are advised to plan for holiday after 13/11/15, am I right ?

As for the 3 weeks work attachment programme it can be any 3 weeks from 16/11 to 22/1/16 and the time is not fixed yet.

And the type of work attachment also not fixed yet.

So do the students have a choice on the timing of their work attachment and also on the type of attachment ?

Or will it just be assigned on random ?

Can I check is the SL for a subject in the IB diploma equivalent to a H1 or H2 in A level ?

And similarly is a HL equivalent to H2 or H3 in A level.

A student needs to take at least 3 HL subjects in the IB diploma right ?

The school sets a criteria that a student must have at least a 6 in a subject at year 4 to take it at the HL level in year 5.

But the promotion criteria from year 4 to year 5 is 26 with at least a 4 in every subject.

So a student can be promoted to year 5 without a single 6 in any subject.

How is this student going to do 3 HL subjects if he doesn’t qualify for any without a 6 ?
