hi to all,
I am new to this forum. Am very interested in MGS IB/IP prog for dd (in P5 this yr but mummy nd to know better first  .)
Need a clarification on the entrance. Is the entrance based on DSA or can students enter using their PSLE points only. Also is the take in based as 50% DSA and 50% thru PSLE points only? Since it is an affiliation sch what are the chances of students from non-affiliated schs gaining entry to their IB/IP prog?
Thanks in advance for the help in answering my queries. Wld like to be better prepared in guiding dd then for her to be disappointed (yup even though she is in P5!!!) Mummy v stressed

Relax, don't stress, otherwise DSA can be stressful too

Does anyone have the SOW for MGS sec 1?

My girl got in MGS via dsa cca. O level track. She applied for IB but didn’t make past the interview stage. Anyone care to share what its like in MGS? Based on her past few years results, she should get marks somewhere between o level track and ip track. So we are still wondering whether to take up the offer.
Any suggestions? -
Hi,
Let me know what you would like to know about MGS. I’ve 2 girls in MGS, one graduated and the other graduating this year. Both went in through DSA and IB.
The older one graduated, went through the O level (as there was no IB track a few years ago), then IB. The younger one is the first pre IB batch eho went into it in Sec 3. -
Were they from the primary sch too? Will those from other primary sch. Fit in easily? How's the culture there like? Thanks in advance!

Hi All,
My DD wants to get into MGS next year Sec1. May I know what is the cut off point for the PSLE?
How many percent the school accepts from non affiliated school? TIA -

Hi Lynn2010,
Firstly, thank you in advance for offering to provide insight into MGS. My girl got wait list for MGS ib program, just want to know your experience on waitlist, size of cohort, the attrition rate (girls who leave ip to do o levels), ip curriculum, language art expectation, etc....
Thanks in advance. -

5 points drop, from last year 252 (2013)
