i may tell you i need to prepare her…but this girl is weak academically.
will still plan revision as per normal but it’s best not to have expectations so the reward will be sweeter.

Teachers give out top school papers?
Only some schools then, I believe.
Good-er schools.

The only ones we've gotten from the school, were the past year PSLE papers similar to those commercially sold in Popular. But top school papers, like those from Jeremy, no.

Oh, didn’t realize it is not the norm. After mid year exam, teachers gave them past year papers from other schools and prior years own school papers to do during class time.

I think this is very wise. Trying the top schools papers may not be a good thing, and if the child is already weak, can be quite demotivating. I think parents (and teachers) should decide where the child stands and aim for incremental improvements rather than aiming for the top.

:hi5: I also keep telling myself don't expect too much. Can get into express is good already.

Which is why I suppose only teachers in good-er schools will give them out. These are students who have the capability to be stretched.

for my girl here...can go back to her affiliated sec school is the best reward. yes, express would be sweet...if not, it's still ok.

For DD2, I know she has put in her best-est effort. I just pray her results can commensurate with her untiring efforts.

DS was doing some past year English PSLE questions and he found that the comprehension open ended is easier than those in top schools. Also, he added that the answers could be found easily in the passage. Is it true that the level of difficulty has dropped?
