In Singapore, you think can anyone just go to the streets and protest? In Hong Kong, maids are allowed to get pregnant and have maternity leave.

You tell agent please don’t transfer her to family with young kids or baby…it’s exactly what she expected employers to do…their Indonesia trainees in SIP class teach them to do this.
"If you are not happy with your employer, just ask for transfer. If they refuse, do work badly…break things also they can’t make you pay, last resort act crazy…employer will let you go. Although no pay while waiting for new employer, current employer still have to pay for your food and lodging at agent. Agent die die also will lie and get you new employer because they want to make agent fees from you again."

You think we can act this way in our search for job overseas? When we go overseas to work, no culture shock for us?

        Hi, st2,
This is the first time i meet such an insane/crazy person in my life. My 6th maid in last 9 yrs.

Till today i feel guilty for transfer her back to agent.
Honestly i was lost that morning.
Worry about her did all the funny thing. I was so worry she will jump down from my house.

          Hi Hopes

I believe it was difficult for you. Most employers will do what you did.

            Hi, st2,

            Thanks.
Anyway, life need to go on. I need to get a new maid. I do not believe all Indo will be the same.

However, i strongly suspect my recent 2 maids craziness is due to indo agent. You have confirmed it. Hehe...

Change local agent so will not meet same indo agent.

i think agent really v important. for me when i send my maid away, i din tell her i sending her home or letting her transfer. i guess my maid was feeling guilty also la after the things she has done so she never ask. my agent told me she only asked at the agency. she asked the agent can let her transfer anot. my agent give her a straight no and say after doing all the bad things u still want transfer?

                Hi

Does maid enthusiasm actually dropped after working for awhile with employer as compared to just arrived at your house?

i will think so. cos initially jus now they try to be good, clean everything, but after awhile after they know the surroundings well, then will try to take short cut. my maid jus came for 2 weeks. still ok now will take things out of my cupboard to clean, but sometimes still abit blur. but i doubt this will last haa.

                    Hi sunny_side_up

Indeed the maid try to cut corner these days. Some of the housework chores assigned did not do but lie that done. Otherwise don't do so clean or tell me no time to do and need constant reminders then get it done.

                      Hi Ashana

We talked to the maid last night on her work performance and attitude. Apparently she is not remorseful of what she did not wanted to improve.
There are people who adapts easily, slow to adapt, super slow to adapt or simply refuse to adapt. Which league she belongs to?

If you can't let her go for whatever reasons, simply adjust your expectations and close one eye until the time is up. No point upsetting yourself because of something that can't be change. She doesn't want to change and you don't want to change her, by talking to her repeatedly on something she intentionally doesn't want to do, you are giving her the signals to continue with whatever she is doing because she is immune to the talk.

If you can let her go, no point tolerating her further. Why pay to suffer?

My current helper has given me a good training on EQ. 😂

Actually u are right. In the past I used to tell my maid cannot do this cannot do that but she don’t listen. I bo bian cos I need her so I closed one eye.aftrr that I tell myself not to tell her off anything Liao unless I want to send her off.if not she will think I everytime say but in the end also give in. So unless u ready to let her go, must learn to close one eye.
