There is a student care centre at Bt Timah Rd

Further away form PH but if the peers are from the nearby schools like Nanyang, RGS, I think the environment might be better in terms of peer influence.

Hi, I'm new at this forum. Anyone knows on average how Pei Hwa students do in PSLE vs their prelims? :?

            Hi All,

Am new to this forum, I am not staying within 1km from the school and would like to do join PV or grassroots.
Any parent here who joined PV for Pei Hwa? How many PV the school will accept each year…

            Thanks.

Sorry to disagree with you on this, Jennifer. My son has the privilege of attending lessons in both PH & NY. He doesn't think there's much difference between the behavior of students from both schools.

All schools will have their share of black sheep but by-and-large, SAP schools tend to do okay in terms of students discipline. That's my observation.

              * I'm assuming your definition of peers influence is students behavior.

I have personally experienced two extreme spectrums with both my boys.

It's quite awkward for me to respond bcoz a) we go back a long way and I cherish our friendship b) I will always support my son's schools bcoz I believe they are good.

Now that I get the awkwardness out of the way, what I wish to share is (and I'm not referring to any school in particular, definitely not NY which is a fantastic mega school) sometimes we don't know what we don't know. What we see from another school is only from the outside. We see all their good results and think they're wonderful. For our kids' school, we see it as an insider including all the nasties, and therefore we think it's not as good as the other schools.

In summary, what I really want to say is, sometimes the reason we don't hear bad news about other schools is due to the fact that parents of kids in those schools don't believe in washing dirty laundry in public. It is as simple as that. I can tell you all schools will have their own disciplinary issues, it's whether big or small only.

                    Dun worry.

                    I value frankness in friendship.

                        Hi,

Does anyone knows whether there is any compo or 作文 tests for P2? DD said not included in SA2 but I am not sure since I recalled DS had Paper 1 for his P2 SA2 in another school.
