Automatic. Precisely, about the winding bit. But the trouble comes when you don't rotate and wear them because they stop working - apparently, the oil inside dries up. So whether it's winding or auto, there is still a level of maintenance.MMM:
:offtopic: What about watches??? Anyone into watches too? This sounds like auntie talk now huh. Not sure it comes with age. But some people have that desire in their 20's too but not me.
With watches, does ladies here prefer quartz or automatic...may manual winding? It is too much of a trouble to wind your watches every now and then... -

And I am currently drooling over a Frank Muller and a Cartier design. But look only cannot buy.
I was looking at Omega and hubby was like... why don't you top up for a rolex instead.... I was like.... do you want me to go into the shop and ask for the cheapest model  Anyone knows what is the price range too??? Heard that you can get a rolex from 3.5k???? Just curious again  -

Hi
What bag are you carrying for daily use?
Anyone carrying a coach bag, for daily use?
For daily work, am rotating between Coach, Burberry (Blue Label), Fendi and Braun Buffel.
For overseas trip, am rotating between Coach and Fion.
For weekends, using Kiplings or Shinzaitokai (something like that) bags -

I like Frank Muller and Cartier too!!
Do you guys like big watches or small watches?
Got kang tao at Hour Glass or Sincere, can get good discounts wor ... And Singapore is a good, low cost place to buy watches for some reason - not sure if it's just the higher sales tax elsewhere. -
So I guess its not too troublesome to wind the watches as compared to change of bags where you need to "transfer" items. But DW complain about having to change date over the wkend. So 48 hours of power reserve is not enuf…that’s why complain have to wind the watch every monday or beginning of the month.

All watches have its secondary market just that Rolex is more common. Even pawnshop take in the Rolex(s) too

2nd hand maybe. Thing with Rolex is there is a 2nd hand market so a lot of pple feel that it is 'worth it'. I don't really like Rolex maybe cos I associate it with sleazy businessmen or aunty tai tais.Funz:

I have a Omega Constellation and a Seamaster. Omega's designs have not changed much. But for $3.5k I prefer the Tag Hauer F1 design -

Actually I personally feel that it's true. Sometimes it's good to buy something that holds value so that it is not a liability that you get out of vanity reasons.
For that.... I dropped the idea of owning a 1 carat diamond ring. I don't need that.
BTW, we also collect Swaroski crystal (those annual series) for at least 10 years now. Looks nice on display and importantly, you can supposedly sell it away. -

That's the funny part but it's true on how it's being portrayed on TV. The 5 matchsticks.... Eg. I told hubby that between a merc and a BMW, i would prefer BMW. Merc to me is like.... ah pek/ businessman car and it's not cool. It's probably a image thingy.
Maybe I am really aging, but with age, you \"grow\" to appreciate it? I do have alot of ex-colleagues around me (expat, local high income earners) who are crazy about Rolex. They are not sleazy or auntie tai tai and very different profile  -

I have small bony wrists so cannot really carry off watches with too big a face. I dun like those dainty teeny tiny face watches either.

It seems that pilot watches is the trend now. And some of them have super big faces.
