      English paper2 synthesis qn 70

\" Don't tell me where you have hidden my present, \" Ruby told her brother.

Ruby told her brother that he was not ___________

Ruby told her brother that he was not allowed to tell him where he had hidden his present.

      Is this accepted??

No, it's unacceptable. If you add 'allowed ' , you are actually changing the meaning of the sentence as the original sentence has no 'allowed '.

What was your answer then? :scratchhead:

I'm not very sure of the exact numbers but here's the explanation.

C'soriginal amount of money minus B's original
                    That no. divided by 3
                    B's original minus that no. = 34
