I am keen in the exam meant for 2017 instead of the 2016 in the aforementioned link.

Further Mathematics will make a comeback next year for the JC1 students in the 2017 A Levels. Good for those who are thinking of doing Engineering or Physics in the university.

But with the contrasting subject requirement, it means that the student can only do 1 science, probably Physics. It's really only feasible for those who are quite sure that they don't want to take Chem or Bio, or are willing to pick it up later if necessary and possible.

Have to wait for SEAB to make the syllabus public on their website. Should be coming out soon, since the J1s are starting in Jan next year.

Yup, given the constraints in number of subjects a student can take for the A levels. F Maths without Physics will be weird since the two are intertwined...

I am confused here. Are you saying - based on the assumption that you take F Maths + Maths, you can take only 1 Science subject?

Is it necessary to take 2 Maths? If you take only 1 F Maths, you can still take 2 Sciences????

I think if you want to take F Maths, you HAVE to take Maths.
So 2 Sc subjects decided and you left with only one choice for the remaining Sc subject.
Now the challenge is which Sc subject to take; Phy or Chem?
