Sun_2010:
You have been tricked, the calculation clearly shows us they are not. However, Chinese actually has the least weightage, math has the most... a simple way to see is searching for a t score calculator, and put in the same marks for all 4 subjects, then, see the t score gotten for each subject.
Nope all four subjects have equal weightage.NerdyMath:
It has a higher weightage. -
SydneyBB:
... However, this method you are suggesting may turn out dangerous for secondary, since english must pass, and if his math/science can't make it, but languages are better by at least a bit, it will have a negative effect.

Using the article's formula (ave and SD), the child who gets 90 for Maths/Sci seems to get higher individual T-score than 90 for Eng/MT.
Because average for languages are higher?
So I must push him to get high 90s for Maths/Sci. It is harder to get 90+ for Eng/MT for him. So hopefully, after averaging out, he will still get high T-score! -
Student2015:
The question, a more accurate version放学了,同学们愉快地回家,课室里只有我一个人。我满怀心事,因为那件事完全是我引起的。我踏着沉重地脚步走到教师办公室。。。。。。(i remember clearly there was 愉快 ,满怀心事,因为,完全,and the walking part was more descriptive, there was something like 沉重。)Some of you here are so smart unlike me...
How much will the aggregate be if you get
A* - Maths
A - Mother Tongue+English
B - Science
Assuming the A and B grade are at higher end (eg. A is 85 for MT and 77 for English , B is 72)
And what will the grade be if you want to get 250 and above
Btw, HMT compo question 2 :放学了,同学们踏着轻快地脚步走回家,只有我留在课室。我心里有个心事,那件事是我引起的。我走到教师办公室。。。。。。
Help me calculate the aggregate pls! Gonna get beatings if I don't score 250 and above -
Steadyberry:
I do not know how to calculate t-score but last year psle, coincidentally, a few kids I know got 2A* & 2A. All 3 kids got A* for Science & Maths. Their marks were 235, 245 & 250.
Their As might have been low, 3As 1 A* by calcutions, i will be able to get 250 easily, (i have more exact scores on my hands so i used those). -
ZhenghuaParent:
That is for now... Lets be honest, everyone is gonna minus another like 5 marks or something at least from what they have said because of answering error for science; careless mistakes/conceptual error for math;grammar, spelling, answering error, careless mistakes for english; answering, total wrong, 'spelling',wrong usage of words for chinese... I'm not being mean, but its always better to get a surprise than a disappointment.
Wow, you guys are so smart! I think I will get only 350+/400... I think u guys can get 275+ since u guys get like 386/400 -
StillThinking:
You must be very smart. I wish my son can get above 200 next year psle.Steadyberry:

For Chinese composition and English composition, u will not get full marks. The best u might get 35+/40. Anyway, let’s enjoy the children’s day.

Hi curiousage
To some, getting 200 or getting into express is a blessing. -

Ya.Hi curiousage

Frankly, I preferred to get 19+ than 200. At least can choose NA for \"dream\" school.
200 is no where here and there. Difficult to choose a school.
