chance upon this, i shared in the other forum - http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... 2&start=10, thought of sharing here too.

http://www.aps.sg/files/principia/princ โ€ฆ lowres.pdf (tried to link but cannot, its aps.sg/files/principia/principia_%232_lowres.pdf)

quoted from the article regarding the new principalโ€ฆ..
\"in terms of academic results, whether as an undergrad (1st class honors, top student for Maths and Physics in NUS) or later at Pittsburgh studying Research Methodology (perfect GPA)\"
Seems the school will continue to be in good hands then. ๐Ÿ†’
There was a sports event at NUS High this afternoon. Saw the 4 houses competing, but in a relax, stress-free kind of atmosphere. What's that about? Does that kind of activities happen often?

Nice to see the non-academic aspect of the school. The pupils looked like really enjoying themselves.

Today is Sports Heats between the 4 houses : Nobel, Faraday, Fibonacci and Fleming. ๐Ÿ˜„

I saw some students wearing colored shoes. Are they allowed to wear those during normal school days?
What is the requirement for the shoe, any color requirement ?

The so-called subsidy is actually EESIS, where cut-off PSLE score is different each year and is available to other IS schools as well.

Quantum is S$2,400 p.a. which is automatically offset from the school fees, i.e. you only pay net.

Here is the link for more info on EESIS : http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusa ... ips/eesis/

However, NUSHS has its own NUSH Scholarship too on top of EESIS.
For the NUSH Scholarship, is there a bond or something like that?

Most students wear track shoes with dull colours such as white, grey, black background, etc but I think it's fine with occasional other colours strips.

I don't think so but only a handful gets it.

Normally, the school will offer to selected students before they join the school.

There is no bond attached to the scholarship, however, it is \"renewable annually based on continual exemplary conduct and good performance academically\".

If your DS has received CO or WL and you have indicated NUSH as your first choice on your DSA option form, you will be notified on PSLE results day if you are successful or not (with CO and first choice, confirm successful if you meet the Express course requirement). If you are successful, you will not be allowed to participate in S1 posting.

Besides PSLE results, you will receive a form that tells you if you are eligible for EESIS and 3rd language. You just need to indicate your choice of 3rd language if you are eligible and interested, otherwise you do not have to do anything except report to school on Matriculation Day.

On Matriculation Day, you will be given a form to indicate if you want to take higher MT or not which you have to submit when school reopens.

                    Hope this helps.

How about after they join ? Possible to get ? Thanks.
