Your daughter and her friends must have very strong qualifications to be invited for tea by RGS. Is it just for selected students only?

secondary schools road show starts after SA 1

know of another school started recruiting at P5 ... shhhhhhhh

well not surprising...schools also getting kiasu haaaaaaa...But I think they cannot offer a place to the p5 literally but 'try to market the school' to the p5 top students..[/quote]they will only send out official offer letter with the rest of the dsa successful candidates

Has anyone submitted DSA application already ? So far any feedback ?

Every school timing is different. You need to check with the school or note the website. Most of the form will be published in the school website.
Some will even state the list of talent that they need - likes netball, hockey, etc.

Thanks. I know that. What i am asking is has any kiasu parents submitted the DSA application ? some schools are open already, i think, like NUSHS

Oh yes, DD1 said only 3 or 4 girls can attend the tea session; don’t know whether ft will choose or draw lots or who are interested. got another BICEP 1day camp at Hwa Chong during june hols (organised by HCI and NYGH) - also a few vacancies available - "advertisement" time i think. nowadays the principals must think of marketing strategies too - quite aggressive in trying to get the "best" students. that’s why the debate at Victoria whether to be true IP sch.

ya I think hci pretty agressive in attracting top students nowadays...last sat there is an event organised by them also for selected p5 students( abt 54 of them)...so they also do 30mins of 'advertisement' there... 😉

There is also a 30 mins 'school promotion talk' by NYGH (for female participants) and HCI (for male participants) during the forthcoming Preliminary Round of Schools Bilingual Olympiad.

Thanks for pointing me to the website; took a look at the sample questions - quite tricky !! luckily the quiz is only 1 hr ; otherwise my DD1 will probably have headache aft going thru the questions; some of the answers will be so close and the more i read, the more confused i’ll be + can’t decide which to choose.

i guess from now onwards, the various schools will be doing their advertisements; i heard some sec sch will do roadshows too. although DSA application will begin in May (for some sch), most people will have to wait for the SA1 results as they will be essential especially if apply via academic.
